Terms of use

These terms explain Dray’s role as a moving introduction service and the separate role of the moving company that quotes for and carries out your move.

Dray’s service

Dray helps you describe a proposed move and introduces one moving company that we consider potentially suitable. The service is an introduction, not a removal service, brokerage or guarantee of availability.

We use reasonable care when making an introduction, but every move is different and the mover must make their own assessment before agreeing to take the job.

Your agreement with the mover

The selected mover is responsible for any survey, quotation, contract, payment, scheduling, insurance and performance of the moving service. Their terms—not these terms—govern the move itself.

Before booking, check that the written proposal covers the required work and review the mover's insurance, exclusions, cancellation terms and claims process. Pay the mover only using details you have verified with them.

Your enquiry

Please provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including anything that could affect access, timing, staffing, equipment or the safe handling of an item. Tell the mover if those details change.

An enquiry does not reserve a date or require you to proceed. A booking exists only when you and the mover agree it under the mover's terms.

Commercial arrangement

You pay the selected mover directly. If an introduction leads to a booking, the mover pays Dray for that introduction. Dray does not add a separate customer fee or markup to the mover's quote. The mover remains responsible for setting and explaining the total price, and you are under no obligation to accept it.

Responsibility

Dray is responsible for providing the introduction service with reasonable care. Because the selected mover is an independent business, Dray is not responsible for their acts, omissions, quotation or performance of the move.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
